Places visited: Kathmandu – Chitwan – Pokhara


This trip offers a religious and cultural journey to the amazing places in Kathmandu Valley. The next destination, Pokhara is blessed with the sheer beauty of nature and panoramic Himalayan views, giving you a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Chitwan National Park is Asia’s one of the best managed park which is home to over 50 species of mammals, 55 species of amphibians and reptiles and 525 species of birds.

Itinerary

Day 1:

Arrival in Kathmandu - Meet our representative at the airport and transfer to the hotel. Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal, is situated in a broad valley on the edge of the Himalayan Range, featuring a captivating blend of Hindu and Buddhist influences. Trip briefing at the hotel.


Day 2:

Kathmandu Exploration - In the morning, visit Pashupatinath, the holiest Hindu shrine in Nepal, known for holy saddhus and cremations on the Bagmati River. Continue to Bouddhanath, the primary Buddhist shrine, with its large stupa attracting devout pilgrims. Afternoon visit to Bhaktapur, a well-preserved medieval city with traditional industries and architectural wonders.


Day 3:

Drive Kathmandu to Chitwan (approx. 165 km & 5 hours’ drive) - Explore Chitwan National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, known for its diverse wildlife. Afternoon Tharu Village walk or Jungle walk.


Day 4:

Chitwan Excursion - Full day of jungle activities, including Elephant back safari, Nature walks, canoe ride, and tribal village visit. Evening options include a wildlife slide presentation or a Tharu tribal dance program.


Day 5:

Drive Chitwan to Pokhara (approx. 160 km & 5 hours drive) - Transfer to Pokhara, a town with stunning views of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges. Free day to stroll around Fewa Lake.


Day 6:

Pokhara Exploration - Early morning sunrise trip to Sarangkot for panoramic views. Later, visit Davi's fall, Gupteshwor Cave, and the International Mountain Museum (IMM) in Pokhara.


Day 7:

Drive Pokhara to Kathmandu (approximately 210 km & 6 hours) - Morning drive back to Kathmandu and transfer to the hotel. Rest of the day at leisure for relaxation.


Day 8:

Departure from Kathmandu - Closer to the flight, transfer to the airport for the onward journey.
